With over 13 years of experience in the field, Ms. Venkatesh heads the Mumbai branch of the firm. Having been in the practice for over 20 years, Ms. Dasgupta is an active member of the litigation team who has a vast experience is handling all sorts of civil litigations including IP cases before Delhi High Court, district courts and the Honorable Supreme Court. Ms. Dasgupta is also actively involved in proceedings before the IPAB.

With over 15 years’ experience in this field, Mr. Sen essentially handles litigations concerning trade marks, design, G.I. and copyright, and patents. He also handles criminal actions on trade mark and copyrights. He is actively involved in proceedings before the IPAB (Intellectual Property Appellate Board) and the Copyright Board.

A practising patent attorney for over 9 years, Mr. Shetty’s responsibilities include prior art searches, patent searches in India, drafting patent specifications, providing patentability and infringement opinions, patent oppositions and other invalidity proceedings particularly those relating to fields of chemistry and pharmaceutics. He also works closely with the litigation team in matters concerning infringement of patents.

With about 14 years of experience in the field of trade marks, Ms. Majumdar handles trade mark portfolios for clients from sectors like fast moving consumer goods, food and beverages, engineering, healthcare and medical instruments, clothing and footwear, among others. She advises on all aspects of trade mark laws ranging from trade mark clearance, applications, prosecution issues, oppositions, post-registration activities and cancellation actions. She is also an active member of the team working on foreign trade mark matters. Ms. Majumdar is an active member of the litigation team and also handles domain dispute cases and enforcement actions before the Customs Office. Ms. Majumdar continues to be a part of several IP awareness programs across India. She is a member of the INTA, ECTA and APAA. She had chaired the INTA FWKM MEASA Sub- Committee for the term 2015-2017, has been an active member of the INTA TOP-C Committee for the term 2019-2021 and is currently a part of the INTA FWKM Committee and the ECTA Anti-Counterfeiting Committee.  

Mr. Alvares has been practicing as a patent attorney for more than 9 years. His key responsibilities include prior art searches, patent searches in India, drafting patent specifications in the fields of biotechnology and pharmaceuticals, providing opinion on patentability, non-infringement, pre-grant and post-grant oppositions. He is an active member of the litigation team. He is also a part of the trade marks team and advises clients in several sectors including fast moving consumer goods, engineering and healthcare. Mr. Alvares is a regular speaker in IPR awareness programs across India.

She started her practice at the High Court at Calcutta before joining the firm. She is an active member of the litigation team and is involved in proceedings before the High Court, District Courts as well as before the Intellectual Property Appellate Board (IPAB).

Having been a part of the firm for over 8 years, Mr. Sarkar handles large trade mark portfolios for clients in sectors of engineering, healthcare, fast moving consumer goods, food and beverages, clothing and footwear, among others. He advises on all aspects of trade mark laws ranging from availability searches the pre-filing stages through trade mark clearance phases, applications, prosecution, oppositions, maintenance of registrations to other post registration activities. He also advises on trade mark licensing and assignments. Also dealing with contentious matters concerning our clients’ foreign trade marks’ portfolios, Mr Sarkar is actively involved in matters concerning passing off and infringement actions before the courts and domain name disputes before the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the .IN Registry. He engages in enforcement actions before the Customs Office. He is also an active member of the Copyright team.
He is currently chairing the MEASA Sub- Committee of INTA Legislation and Regulation Committee.
He is a member of INTA and APAA.

Having started her career at the Calcutta High Court, Ms. Roy Chowdhury is an integral member of the litigation team in the firm, who has been in the practice for over 8 years. She is actively involved in matters concerning trade mark opposition and appears before the Trade Marks Office and IPAB (Intellectual Property Appellate Board). She also assists Counsels in matters before the high courts and district Courts.

Mr. Majumder handles small to large sized trade mark portfolios for clients in sectors including but not restricted to engineering, healthcare and medical instruments, and food and beverages. He advises on trade mark clearance searches, applications, prosecution and activities relating to transfer of rights. He is a part of the Copyright team. He is also involved in enforcement actions before the Customs Office.

Apart from being an integral part of the litigation team, Mr. Mukherjee deals extensively with trade mark oppositions, design cancellations and domain name disputes before the WIPO and the .IN Registry. He also assists Counsels in matters before the various courts and district courts. He is actively involved in proceedings before the IPAB (Intellectual Property Appellate Board).
He is a member of INTA.

Ms. Majumdar has over 5 years of experience in this domain, she is an integral part of the trade mark oppositions and rectifications team. Previously, she assisted a Senior Counsel at the City Civil Court in Calcutta.

Samik, a registered Patent Agent and a practising advocate, is an active member of the Delhi operations. Besides handling litigations, he is also a part of the Patent prosecution and opposition team. His core areas of expertise include drafting and advising in contentious matters, providing an opinion on patentability and non-infringement, pre-grant and post-grant oppositions and revocations of engineering patents. He appears before various fora including the IPAB (Intellectual Property Appellate Board), Delhi High Court, District Courts and other Tribunals. He often participates as a speaker in IP awareness programs. 

Mr. Khan is an integral part of the litigation team. He also handles matters before the IPAB (Intellectual Property Appellate Board) and the Trade Marks Office. He is also involved in enforcement actions before the Customs Office.
